One Drink

By MrsPeterson

It seems hard to think All this happened from just one drink I remember the whole thing Up to what I saw last, my engagement ring My mother was the greatest lady I was always her little baby My father who was never home Made me feel almost always alone My brother who died in war Had said it was me he would always adore And my fiance, who gave me the world He was my man, I was his girl I left all that behind me when I went on this ride After one drink, 10 miles, and 18 years... I died
