My Words Betray My Intentions, by Acushla
|
my words betray my intentions
for i try to conceal what's true
the deepest secret of my heart
the secret of loving you
i attempt to disguise it with a mask
though nothing will suffice
oh darling what am i to do
for revealing has its price
now i dare not speak a single word
for i try i contain this fire
that envelopes my heart, my core
this burning passion, this desire
though as much as i do want you
i pray you waste not your time
you'll find we'd move no where
you'll be rereading this rhyme
and it pains me much to say what i will
in fact i may even die
inside my heart, inside my mind
all you'll hear is an eternal cry
but i think it is most wise, dear
if you and i speak not
for i cant hide this any longer
it's best that we forgot.
