I've known you since the day I moved here You always knew how to make me laugh We shared or hopes and dreams Dreamt up a whole future for ourselves We had so much life in us God knew that I had everything going for me But still said it was time to go with him Diagnosed with cancer at the age of 16 You decided to take matter into your own hands We married at 17 and never fought even once Daddy was so proud to see me graduate Momma was so happy to hear we were pregnant Our life was almost perfect Had it not been I was slowly dying In the hospital for over 6 months You and baby came and stayed right by my side One night while you were sleeping I held our baby tight I felt the lord reach out to me and I whispered into my babys tiny ears "Finish life for me, mommy will be watching."
