Written On The Mirror

By MrsPeterson

In the closet up the stairs To the left and in my room Is mirror my mother gave me Hand finished edges And just a bit of dust Make it worth a million At least that is to me Mom never had much time for me She was much too busy I was her only child I don't think she ever knew me It was on my wall For 13 long years But mama passed away And I couldn't stop crying One day when walking by I looked into her mirror Written in bright red lipstick In mommas handwriting Were words now burned in my mind "I never got to say I love you You make your mommy proud!"
