The Forgotten One

I waited for you, but like some beat up worn out old shoe you forgot me. I went to the window and what did I see? I saw that you forgot about me. I did so much to show you my love, we were a special kind, like a hand in a glove. Just like society today there was a price to pay so there came a day that you forgot about me. I was there for you and helped you out of jams and all i got in return was I don't give a dam. I loved you with all my heart, but I see you never loved me from the start. Oh and you, yes you know who you are, I turned to you seeking a friend, but I see all you wanted was money and not a friend. I helped you out of jams but when I need someone to talk to and vent to you turned your back on me. Yes there were times when you were a bitch also, but I did not stop caring about you I let you vent I never turned my back on you, but you came and you went. A friend is he or she who lets the other one vent a true friend is never one to throw out something that is bent, but like a gift from God treasures what is lent. God brings people into our lives for a purpose for those that are chosen he has chosen to love us, protect us and be kind to us. When those people who God sent into our lives turn their backs on us or forget us, God takes us in his arms and hugs us and wipes away our tears he protects us and chases away our fears. So when we are forgotten by others, friends, and lovers, God calls to us and bathes us in angelic covers. For we are children of God and when others hurt us and forget us and turn their backs on us it is God who picks us up and says to us "I am your creator, the one who is above, your friends may hurt you, lovers may forget you, but I am your Father and I will never forsake you."
