masquerade of a soul, by AdiKOV
|
a soul stands alone in the shell called the body.
giving life to something lifeless and cold.
freezing winds are blowing around around it,
loneliness trying to eat it from the inside.
but the soul refuses to give in and die...
fighting mulitple foes on every front.
it's kept alive by the love inside.
the unlimited life energy and a reason to live.
the soul fights the elements to see another day,
to enjoy in the vast beauties of love.
but... love is a double-edged sword.
it's not the frost nor the foes that give the first blow
it's the edge of the sword,
sword that swore to defend the lonely soul.
the wounds don't heal and the soul grows weaker.
it starts losing the eternal battle.
the mask of the betrayer is placed on it's heart
the heart that stabbed it in the back
and now... the soul lies alone in the deserts of the body
the winds of eternity blow over it...
bringing snow and ice on it...
love that once was the reason to fight
became the reason the soul is dead...
the soul lies dead under the snow of sorrow...
forgotten and alone, in an unmarked tomb of eternal ice.
only sign that it's here is the blood.
the blood still running from the wound left by love
painting the snow red, writing it's epitaph...
"here lies another vicitim of love..." |
