unknowing, by kristin fricke
|
And through the fog,
I emerge.
Not triumphantly as one would assume,
But in victory none the less.
I walk upon wobbly legs,
Through a street,
That once was there.
My hair is matted,
And my face is tear streaked,
But i have survived.
Though there is no one to hold me up,
I feel as though i am weightless,
And that small comfort keeps me pushing forward.
As i walk past a world that once was,
I notice that i am not alone,
When all around me i see the life i knew come crashing
down,
I realize i must be ready to face whats next.
And though i feel weak,
I know i must be strong.
As the calls from others reach my ears,
I jump head first into the unknown.
