Cycles, by Jay Daniels
|
The sun also rises,
Where others don't see.
A child's first glimpse
Of a bird in a tree.
More will soon follow,
then become commonplace.
Along with a smile,
Which covers his face.
Dusk is approaching,
The shine lusters dull.
The horizon is barren,
But one single gull.
The bird flies away,
Destination unclear.
The man folds his hands.
His horizon is near.
Just like the bird,
He never forgets,
That just as it rises,
The sun also sets. |
