Relieving Regret, by LostSoul
|
We were lonely, when we first met
I reminisce of how the setting was set
I'm sitting there, you looking at me, you at your best
I didn't even notice you
But you pushed right through
Wanted to know, what's new
I knew I needed to stay away
But you knew you would always have your way
You sang your songs for me
You knew how to set my heart free
You wanted me take you somewhere we can be alone
I felt like you were my princess
Our minds playing chess
I wanted to save you from the rest
But it was all a jest
My fairytale has no happy ending
My princess wasn't waiting
She left me here, missing
All I got was a letter
Telling me it's better
That she had found another
Fast as the vows, what does it matter
It's just me relieving regret
Of how we first met
I'm back to the same mess
I wish I didn't say, yes |
