Memories That Haunt

Your presence is so real The memories, haunting me My dreams binding me I'm tired of these fears These wounds are all I feel Suppressed all these years Time cannot erase the pain is just too much When I held you in my arms and wiped away your tears I loved you, confronted by my fears And I held out through the years But my wounds won't seem to heal Your sound captivated me Saved me from myself But now that light that resonates Has captured me and showed me how to hate I've tried to tell myself you're gone You left me here, behind Chased away my mind Nothing left to do, unwind Erase you from my mind But the memories it haunts It lingers like an after thought And it won't leave me alone

memories are amazing, those that haunt and those that bring happiness!
they can take you from a bad place and put you somewhere nice or vice versa!
