Softly, by David Zamora
|
Softly
she said hello
as she looked up
to tell me so
so softly her eyes
melted into mine
Softly
she took my hand
led me to a wondrous land
so softly
I held her through the night
We sang and danced
to a lovely song
the time so short
our yearning so long
we became a part of each other
so softly
Softly she left my touch
never knew a heart
could break so much
so softly
I called out her name
How I wondered and wondered why
so softly I sit and cry
remembering how softly
she said goodbye to me |
