The Sidewalk of Life and Love

RSS

By SenSeLeSS

It was late and dark It was raining and cold She was lonely She was sad He was heartbroken He was alone They finally met On the walk home They were both on the same side of the sidewalk Life's sidewalk Love's sidewalk Once his eyes met hers She walked closer to him Tilted head and crossed arms She glared at him He returned her stares They both knew each other's story It had been the same one They had no one to hold their hands No one to walk beside them Their hearts had been broken That same night They had given up on love Sworn never to love again Until she stared into his deep blue eyes Until he brushed her midnight hair with his hands Until they held hands And walked back home Together On the opposite side of the sidewalk

I like it. It brings hope to people that there will always be a new beginning.
