grandmas baking banana nut bread it's the first thing i smell right out of bed grandpas already outside i can't wake up that early, i've tried hes already ran the big green plow hes already milked bessie the cow hes already fed a little white chicken and hes says the corns fresh for the pickin' grandmas preparing tonights feast grandpas feeding our dog the beast he always smells of pepperment and old spice smoking a pipe and eating fried rice we always watch the sunset at seven but he keeps on working till eleven the horses are all running free i watch them from the biggest willow tree theres not a radio or tv in sight and only the moon for a nightlight once the suns gone down the only sound are all the bugs flying around i like sleeping on the hardend floor just next to the fireplace door it's nothing like the big city but theres nowhere else i'd rather be
