The sun had set upon my soul
I thought nothing in this world would make me whole
My fears arose to torturer my dreams
My heart had un-threaded at the seams
I was lost in a darkness so black it hurt my eyes
My brain was echoing with questions of whys?
All that was good had faded away
My sparkling eyes had turned dark grey
I found I had fallen into a nightmare
Fearing the emptiness that know one is there
Then out of nowhere a light appeared
In an empty dream came something I'd not feared
An angel sang words of love in a gentle voice
And blessed me with the chance to make a choice
To stay in the dark place all scared and alone
With nobody to talk to, nobody to phone
Or have the chance to make a new start
To replace and mend my broken heart
The angel spoke of a love so pure
It would erase all the pain, it was the cure
For the first time in so long a smile grew on my face
And soon the darkness disappeared without a trace
The angel stood in front of me and held my hand
And whisked me away to a magical land
Where the sky is blue and the grass is green
And pain and sorrow is nowhere to be seen
It was only then in this colourful light
That I saw the angels face with such delight
As the angel was the man I had dreamed of
I knew because in his eyes was love
He opened his arms and welcomed me in
To an embrace that sent shivers deep within
And as I moved closer he touched my heart
And made a vow never to part
To give me so much love that I might not survive
To open my eyes and keep me alive
To show this world is a beautiful place
And he told me this all by his warm embrace
And now I'm so happy I cant believe its true
