Lying In Wait, by ♥ Leah ☺
|
This sorrow unsung, these tears unkissed,
This skin untouched and these sins dismissed.
Yet all is still and as silent as ever,
This motionless dance with silent music forever.
My heart beats rapidly with hate and with haste,
Lying in wait for love- such an acquired taste,
Should my heart slow down and blood run coldly?
Should I cradle myself in the dark because there's no one to
hold me?
There's writing on a faded photograph of you and me,
Writing that's faded- a lot unlike the memory.
A lifetime of solitude but this memory stays beside me,
All I can do is reminisce what we used to be.
Why is it that I'm not strong enough to walk this land
alone?
Why is it that I cannot fight my hearts lamenting drone?
