Scent of Tattered Lies, by LostSoul
|
Your scent of tattered lies
Has got me bounded in surprise
As you walk into the room, I'm hounded by goodbyes
You flew into my life wearing nothing but disguise
And you talk of things so wise
But you always seem to improvise
I can hear your breathing don't deny
You want me to give this a try
But I can clearly see you wanting me to fry
I'd rather touch the sky
And not sit here asking why
I can feel your restless mind at work
What can you take, what perks
I don't want to act like a jerk
But clearly you must think I don't notice your smirk
Like the disappearing clouds of gray
It's time to move on my way
I will take my heart off display
And float away, into the darkness of the bay
I'm left here with nothing to convey
Except asking why do people betray
When all there really is, is a life of gray |
