Self Quiz, by LostSoul
|
As I sit here
Biding my time
Reading my rhymes
Takes me back to the good old times
Remembering junior high
I played the life
The life's the wife
I cut the world with my lyrical knife
Then went to high school
I acted the fool
Everyone wanted to be cool
And hip hop ruled
Adrenaline's my fuel
And gangs were cruel
I can't believe I passed high school
Went on to higher learning
I was burning
Desire to be better, my yearning
My turning
Point of concerning
Was to make me a better man
That was the game plan
I thought I can
And I began
To live life a man
Graduation
Planted the seed of my salvation
My own creation
Frustration left and I built my foundation
My own self nation
I finally got a good occupation
A revelation
Took hold and I decided to pursue additional education
Another Graduation
And here I am
Left to be condemned
And I know I'm better that what they think I am
The only question is
Is there something better than this
I don't know the answer to my own self quiz
