Your anger and your rage scares me.
All i can see is your hand coming up,
I can already imagine the pain shooting into my face.
So i try to tell you to stay calm, because you know that it
scares me.
I don't want to end up all beat up and bruised,
like my mother once was.
But every time we argue that is all that i can see.
When you scream i begin to shake uncontrollably because i am
scared.
So when you are finally calm.
You tell me that you are sorry for getting so mad.
I tell you it is okay and that you know it scares me.
You tell me 'baby i'd never hurt you'.
And i know you wont.
But your anger still scares me.
It make me believe the worst.
I can still imagine your hand coming up and the pain,
even though i know that you will never hurt me.
