Pushing the Broom, by Invisible Poet
|
Im not the kid who stands up tall
I dont pretend to know it all
Im the one at the back of the room
the one they say is gonna push the broom
I never was the center of attention
i never asked to be
as i sit here in detention
just for standing up for me
Im not the kid with pride
i never take a side
i never come out of the gloom
Im the one they say is gonna push the broom
I look out the window
I see my father there
He sweeps the broom to and fro
he has learned not to care
