Bringing Back, by suzieQ
|
Enjoying my day in the sun
I was walking without a care or a clue
Then a message seized my fun
And I saw I got a txt from you
I must admit, I didn't look
At what it contained right away
But all the lies in my big book
Weren't enough to keep my eyes away
You asked me if I still had hate
And with strained maturity I said no
I never truly hated you or that fate
That brought us down that low
Even though, with one simple line
You brought back all those times
My want to hate, I did decline
For what you did was no crime
So let us bring back, what is and was
Through what keeps us together, verse
To new hates, new likes, and new loves
For his friendship couldn't be a once thought curse
