Loss Of Words, by MAC
|
You tell me that you love me
But it almost sounds absurd
I’m laying next to you
And yet I cannot say a word
I try to get them out
But they’re sticking to me tongue
It’s hard to sing a song
When you forget how it’s sung
You hold on while I hold still
But still my mouth is dry
I try to find some strength inside
The minutes seem to fly
Want, need, yearn, crave
All that I desire… you
Wish, long, pine, thirst
What does it aspire to
I’m trying to speak my mind
But I cannot seem to say
The words I know you want to hear
The words to make you stay
As you leave I almost scream
I whisper, nothing more
Silence is the only sound
Until you slam the door
In this room the quiet hurts
I’m lost without you here
You’ve been gone for minutes
But to me it feels like years
Want, need, yearn, crave
All that I desire… you
Wish, long, pine, thirst
What does it aspire to
I wish I could have found the words
A way to still your fears
I couldn’t even lift my hand
To wipe away your tears
I can’t take back
All that I put you through
I can’t help it
I’m at a loss of words with you |
