Conflicted, by Invisible Poet
|
You could't let go of the feelings
your emotions so conflicted
Now your staring at white washed ceilings
since they day you got convicted
You said you could let her go
you told that lie again and again
your emotions were in a limbo
And you just couldn't win
You saw her kissing him
and told her it was all fine
as the light in your eyes went dim
you followed him past the last street sign
Cornered him in the dark
planted your fist in his face
the neghbors dog didn't even bark
and of his body you left no trace
But you could't handle the pain
laid right on her face
she cried and to you made it plain
she had never been in a happier place
than the arms of that man
you went in had yourself convicted
and you still dont how you possibly can
ever have feelings so conflicted
