Rogue Waves, by Lovecrafter
|
Rogue Waves
Counting the hours,
Forgetting the time,
Our life passes by
Like a bereft rhyme.
Waiting for the sound,
Hoping for the ring,
Our life has one verse
On the stage to sing.
Screaming to speak,
Dancing to run,
Our life is reaching
Like the blanching sun.
Praying for the pain,
Dying for the breeze,
Our life is a drop
On the sea to seize.
Loving the heart,
Freeing the slave,
Our life passes by
Like a rogue wave.
