Step with your Nikes on the cold pavement in the middle of
the night
The rain drips down on you.
Run, just keep running.
The salty tears of pain stream down on your face
You need to get out of this place.
Run, just keep running.
The concerned face of a stranger
She asks if you're okay
You say you're fine and thank her.
Run, just keep running.
You thought you'd never be out of breath if you're running
away from the world
You were wrong,
You're as tired as they get
But still, you go on.
Run, just keep running.
And when you're finally away
From all your troubles and pain
And you have no where left to go,
Face the challenge-turn around,
And run, just keep running. |
