These Hidden Notebooks, by Amber
|
These hidden notebooks
Under the memories which
I safely store
Contain more than just my secrets.
These hidden notebooks
Tell a story
I’m afraid to share
Too much for this world to handle.
These hidden notebooks
They tell my life,
My thoughts specifically lain
In an organized pattern
You won’t understand.
These hidden notebooks
They are sure to be revealed.
See the world change before my eyes
As they’re passed hand-to-hand.
These hidden notebooks
Should they stay beneath
Or come forth?
A poet’s words, familiar,
Now that she is soaring in the wind.
Words no longer hidden
In these notebooks.
