Everything is so different now
even though nothing has really changed
except my perception of you
I see you now for what you do
not at all for what you say.
For your words and your actions
they are ever at odds
and I know that with your words
the truth is only speckled on the lies.
Now I'm listening to what you do
and your actions speak the truth
but it's painful for me to hear
that's probably why for so long
I only listened to your words.
