If I could only , by Lynn Cowan
|
IF ONLY I COULD CATCH A RAINBOW
I'D SHARE IT'S WONDER AND IT'S BEAUTY,
WHEN YOU ARE FEELING BLUE.
IF ONLY I COULD BUILD YOU A MOUNTAIN,
THAT YOU COULD CALL YOUR VERY OWN,
WHEN YOU NEED TO TALK WITH GOD.
IF I COULD ONLY TAKE YOUR PROBLEMS AND HEARTACHES,
I WOULD TOSS THEM FAR OUT INTO SPACE.
BUT ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE
IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO DO.
FOR THE PERSON THAN CAN GIVE YOU A RAINBOW
BUILD YOU A MOUNTAIN TOP
TAKE ALL OF YOUR PROBLEMS AWAY
IS THE ONE THAT LOVES YOU THE MOST
AND HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU
FOR HE MADE THE RAINBOW AND THE MOUNTAIN TOPS
AND WITH HIS LOVE HE CAN TAKE AWAY YOUR PROBLEMS
AND HEARTACHES.
BUT AS FOR ME I CAN BE YOUR FRIEND
THE BEST THAT I CAN BE.
