Wiping Mascara, by If It Wasnt For The Broken Hearts Where Would I Be
|
And as she sits alone
She cries
Wiping the mascara
From under her eyes
She wonders
Was she a fool for loving him true?
Or a fool for believing
He could ever love her too?
She pictures through the tears
Lying in his arms, the things he used to say,
She was the girl of his dreams
And now that dreams slipped away
Everything would have been nothing
Without her there
But now she’s all alone
And he doesn’t even care.
So she cries for a while
For what she once had
Then dries her tears
Cause she’s done with being sad
He let it all fall apart
And he played the mind game
So she can smile as she recalls
She’s not the one to blame
Wiping the mascara
From underneath her eyes
She wonders how you could love someone
You now despise
Turning her back on the memories
Of her best friend
The one who lied when he swore he would love her
No matter what, until the end. |
