Locked Away, by Invisible Poet
|
Why did i open my wall
i knew it would hurt to put it back
i set myself up for this fall
now im glad the rope is cold slack
i wouldn't want to pull you
into the darkness
you dont know what the things in here will do
to try and escape the abyss
The abyss is where i keep
my darkest memories
the sides of it are so steep
nothing once in, has any hope of being free
you remain two steps from the edge
i hope your hand within his is warm
but please dont look over the ledge
you will see a heart so torn
its owner dare not look upon it
for all it does is cause pain
so out of his chest he ripped
his own heart and cast it away into the rain
now his walls are under a lock
and only one person will have a key
no matter how many ticks of the clock
please come back for me |
