The Love I Want., by --Honestly;; Subscribe to rss feed for --Honestly;;

You took her gently
In your cradling arms
And whispered in her ear.

Her face lit up
She blushed bright pink
You kissed her forehead.

"Papa?"
I'd gaze at your face
"Is that real love?"

You chuckled your chuckle
Picked me up in those arms
And told me, "Yes."

You made my life
I searched and searched
For that love.

It couldn't compare
To yours though
Not even a little.

The day you passed
She wasn't the same
That blush disappeared.

Staring at a picture
Her face brightened
Your love forever trapped.
