Rafter Sancuary, by Invisible Poet
|
In my mind i stand
upon the chair of life
the rope held tight to every strand
finally i surrender to this strife
The chair creaks as i shift
the legs chip away
my mind begins to fall towards the rift
my body is left to sway
i chopped the legs off
the chair keeping me alive
at my feelings no one does more than scoff
for acceptance i no longer strive
the rafters easily support my weight
the rope tightens with every breath
i only cause pain when i am late
hopefully i will find peace in death |
