Childhood Weakness., by --Honestly;;

There it sat and stared
Full of deliciousness
Up high on that shelf,
On my very tippy-toes
Balancing on a chair
Almost,
Almost,
Bang!
It crashed to the floor
The goodies sprawled everywhere,
I ate them quickly
Leaving all but one,
"What's this?!"
She yelled,
wiping crumbs off my lips
I shrugged my shoulders,
I reached for a crayon
And some colored paper,
I wrote,
--Need cookies Mommy.-- |
