Reality, by LostSoul
|
Staring at the stars so deeply
Enchanted by the lights so quickly
I forget illusions become necessity
Reality is what you want to see
I see
flowers blooming in the night
I hear
sounds of birds take flight
I feel
something isn't right
But life is but lessons learned
And each time I think I've earned
I'm led to believe I just got burned
I can't
be what you want me to be
I won't
be dictated by normalcy
I just
want to be me, exclusively
But you don't understand me
You never knew MY history
Didn't take the time to be real
You never understood what it is to feel
I am
ME
I am
what you see
I am
what I need to be
I am
"ME" |

I really like this. It shows feeling from the author's perspective. Nice. |
