Her Angel, by SwEEt MeMORiEs
|
Her life was sweet one moment in time,
A family of three, her age was nine
But there the day came which she dread,
One shot from the back and one in the head
And quietly lying in her bed,
Wrote from her heart to God and said
“Please, I pray, just take me too,
Forget momma and dad; I won’t say adieu.
Why do you want me sad and alone?
You know I can’t do this all on my own.”
And there she got up,
With tears in her eyes
In her gut feeling she wanted to die
I watched her from a distance for a barely knew her name
I wanted to tell her God wasn’t to blame
Right then and there something came over me,
An angel to guide her is what I was meant to be
I might not be able to cure her moment of pain,
But I can be her friend in times of darkness and rain
And so I went to stand by her side,
And held her hands and watched as she cried
And friends we became slowly but surely,
Her love I held, so close and securely.
