Diamond in the Rough, by Invisible Poet
|
the world will knock you down
the masses will cast you out
you reach for a hand, they watch you drown
your useless to them, unless filled with doubt
your hard outer shell
is not as strong, as whats inside
and when your soul is free of the prison cell
you will see that the world lied
you are not worthless
not some dim witted fool
poeple will fight and contest
will lay at your feet awaiting your rule
you are the hero of which we dream
hidden within each and everyone of us
the shiny pebble floating within the stream
a preciousness hidden in the grime and dust
the world will pin the blame on you
for making everyones life so tough
within each other we have found it to
we are each others diamond in the rough |

I absolutely love this poem. I really needed to hear this, and though you didn't write it for me, I thankyou so much. |
