Muttered Words, by Invisible Poet
|
While you slept upon my chest
you spoke to me in a soft voice
when you spoke my heart could not be heard within my chest
yet i remain silent, there is little choice
you would not believe me if i told you
so i keep my mouth shut tight
i do not worry about it, there is nothing i can do
my grip around you tightens, is what i feel fright
my breath catches in my throat
i know you are asleep and cannot mean it
my happiness sinking, you keep me afloat
this is a puzzle, and i cant make the pieces fit
i dont really believe in cupid
these words you spoke shot me through
"relationships are stupid"
"except with you" |
