Today

I grew my wings today. I wasn’t sure how to use them. I set down and cried today, not knowing who was there to watch. You broke my heart today and my wings just lie there on my shoulders. I saw an angel today. She was so beautiful I couldn’t believe my eyes. I looked outside today and saw him standing in the light. He wrapped his arms around me today. He held me tight. You are so beautiful he said so I smiled so bright. I looked in the mirror today and seen the person who I thought was an angel and realized she was me. I learned how to use my wings today. I flew to a magical place, I seen him standing be for my eyes today and realized he was just an image I couldn’t forget. I sat down and cried again today no-body was around to see my tears fall. Then softly the feathers I held upon my shoulders dried my tears away. I flew home today as I set upon my bed. Night was coming so I knew I had something to dread. My wings were frozen in place today as if they weren’t there. I feel asleep and when I woke I seen an angel there to guide my way. Through the doors of heaven we walked as a tear fell from my cheek. Then standing in my light was the image I couldn’t forget.
