foam as white as the sea - is what i saw when i looked at you. One eye up and one down — is what I saw when I looked at you. A poor old man who has lived a hard life- is what I saw when I looked at you. A chain on one side; change rattling in one pocket And tobacco in the other — is what I saw when I looked at you. A cold head and a shattered smile — is what I saw that day when you were lying in that feathery bed…the day you gone.
