The Kiss Of Death, by Felicia
|
The day continued on like no one cared
The tension could be cut with a knife
The happy faces, the looks of joy
Around the one person who never cared
The look of disdain on the receiver
Forcing a smile through clenched teeth
Breathing happy lies, but who would care
She played the part in till the end
The gifts around her like a cadge
The calendar flipping, passing with vengeance
Reminding her that time is short
She must escape or be eternally lost
Falling through her hands the sands of time
And now your wondering, what is this
What makes her feel the way she does
As soon as its written you'll understand
Today was her birthday the kiss of death.
