Night after Night

By Invisible Poet

sitting on this mountain side, in the night the moonlight shining across the water grinning as with the first light i watch my dreams flow down to the slaughter soon i too, must join the walking dead but for now i remain proud i will not bow my head even if i am standing within a shroud i will allow no one to see me cringe me being plauged by endless pride i am almost out of my suffering binge i ask you my question, eyes open wide hoping it will play out like my flashback the memory that has never occured dreaming the ropes will no longer be slack and i will be rewarded for having endured what can i do, i will not flee away never will i run away in fright i will sit up away from it all, letting the mountain sway i will return, and wait, night after night
