THE SEARCH FOR A SAVIOR, by zishan evans
|
when those innocent childhood days take flight
And adulthood, with its ache, comes to view,
We awake to misery, fear and blight,
Where happiness ascends upon the few.
Encircled by savagery and endless strain
Controlled by elders, who do as they may
sharing not that good life, but whirling pain.
For this we sang, we dance, we scream, and we pray.
We cry to the invisible above.
Ah! The real truth we fail to understand
Is the power of hugs, inclosed by love,
With sweet kisses and a touch of a hand.
This joy, above all else for sure exists,
Is a loving savior within our midst.
