Keep Your Dreams, by KK
|
My heart filled with dreams
since I was just a kid
Promised to fulfill them
even if my parents would forbid
I planned it all out
step by step
Imagining it perfectly
those secrets I kept
Time flew by
as highschool rolled on
I forgot my wishes
Didn't realize it was all gone
Fifteen years later
thought I did the right things
They were all mistakes
No great findings
Act like I don't care
I still got some time
Think and repair
Find a love of mine
A few more years down the drain
my babies now have their own
My head is spinning
Hard to see them all grown
I sit down and think
what did I do?
I threw it all away
There's nothing new
Should I regret?
Yes, of course
I let my dreams go
I feel the remorse
It breaks my heart
No more time it seems
Take a deep breath...
Cause it's all just a really bad dream |

I was talking to my mom the other day.
And it pretty much inspired me enough to write this poem based on her life.
She has so many regrets... |
