my mother and the monster, by Gabrielle
|
Who are you?
i dont know you any more
i scream in your face the violence of my pain
the searing heat of my blood boiling over
mother! i cry... mother i sob
the mother of tenderness
the mother of my youth
i look in your eyes and i see shes not there
shes gone... who is this woman who looks at me?
with cold sullen eyes
dead inside
with make up plastered on thickly
like a doll
the men now say shes sexy
the men drink and breathe their sin into her
the drugs make her feel better
her face old and her eyes cold
mother come back to me, i scream
mother i love you
her hand intwined in some monsters grip
the monster has her
the monster has her
give her back to me
its too late.... the monster grins
the lust has consumed her innocence
the drugs control her mind
you will never have her back
shes mine.
