I, by Jameela
|
I wonder what the future holds for me.
I hear the voices of my ancestors.
I see their past unfold in front of me.
I want my name to be remembered in history.
I pretend my name is chanted all around the world.
I feel that we are not the only planet that has life on it.
I touch the water in a peaceful place were only I exist.
I worry that my family will break apart.
I cry when I remember all of the times hurtful things where
said.
I understand that I am not perfect.
I say that putting yourself in others situations can help
you understand a person better.
I dream of having a huge family
I try to realize that the world does not revolve around me.
I hope that when I am older I can pass down my wisdom to the
next generation.

It's a little staccato for my liking, but I like most of the sentiments in it as I feel they show that you understand what is important in life. I think if it wasn't so staccato it would emphasise your being loving and caring a little more. |
