Riding 75 down
  The interstate
Feeling so anxious,
  Can hardly wait
Backseat, stretched out,
  Headphones plugged in.
Jamin to a mix,
  Head starting to spin
Observing the fields
  And houses on hills
Watching other cars
  Disgusting road kill…
Tracking the minutes
  Counting the miles
Aren’t we there yet?
  Been driving awhile
Road trip, up north
  7 hours at least
Mirage on the road
  In the summer heat
New sights, new scenes
  Destination: Iowa State
A new life ahead, 
  And I just can’t wait!!
