Journey Towards Heaven

I sit upon this covered edge And look beyond of what was said And start to dream of you instead You've become a nightmare in my head I used my hands to grab my hair And pull to let go of my despair The hands of time has not been fair I'm caught up in your snare Trapped in your neverending flare I looked upon the crying sky Searching for a reason to even try And even heaven up so high Could not help me upon this night I find myself trapped in reason Lost in the cycle of seasons Learning an unlearned lesson Life is a journey towards heaven
