Dear Mum, My scars are nearly healed, But memories are all still sealed, My tears have almost gone away, But your image will always stay, My fears, I have overcome, But it wasn’t that easy mum, And this war I have fought, I have won from friend and family support, Know I know life isn’t always fair, It can sometimes be hard to bare, But these wounds are healing well, After my life had a fell, I can laugh and smile, Sometimes only for a while, I know longer sit down and cry, Or watch the world go by, I can stand up and fight, Because I accept, that you’re out of sight, So thanks mum, for making me strong, I have been waiting so long, Because now I am so strong, Always ready to carry on, And I find my way, Through night and day, What you did, I cant be proud, But now I can scream out loud, A teardrop now and then, But then ready to carry on again, The support is what made me who I am, My friends help and my great fam, Growing up was something you could not see, But the rest of this journey is up to me, So goodbye mum, I will always love you…
