Say goodnight,
Oh lonely child.
Sleep through the night,
Hope the hot weather stays mild.
Rest your eyes,
And drift to somewhere far.
I shall now say goodbye,
To my one and only scar.
It is hard to think,
That you were my one and only.
And as I open my eyes,
I realize that I am very lonely.
Where did you go?
You use to rest upon my arm.
From one to a few,
It has stricken you an alarm.
No one can love,
An invisible face.
Planted with,
These lines of disgrace.
Yet it had taken over,
My life and my endeavors.
This is why I breathe alone,
Without any lovers.
I tried to let you go,
And set you free.
Never took that chance,
Oh but why me.
Why have you chosen,
Such a malformed individual?
She wears a heart on her sleeve,
As well as her scars so beautiful.
You tried to stop her,
You thought you had the power.
But she will always stay like this,
Now and forever.
You cried a million tears,
To stop this girl from hurting.
Finally realizing,
That you're not helping.
So you said goodbye,
And hurt her heart.
You didn't want to kill her,
Yet you tore her apart.
Now you're gone,
And somewhere off.
Yet you will never realize,
What your love was really made of.
Turn around!
And you will see:
That girl of yours,
Finally free.
Surprised to see,
Her short sleeves high?
But you'd never get to,
See her cry.
Over the time,
When she wanted to give in.
She would then hear your voice,
And she'd make sure not to let it win.
Get the smoke out of your eyes,
And out of your face.
Search her completely,
She has not even a trace.
But you keep your head forward,
And try not to look into the past.
You watch life go by,
Only way too fast.
Time goes by,
You finally meet eye.
You smile so proud,
And stay clear to let her fly.
She has no more chains,
She finally can go.
But still again,
You shall never never know.
She still carries,
One last scar.
An invisible scar:
Baby it's you... |
