As The Gun Points To Me (Poem), by YourEyesMyWords
|
Fighting for our independence,
as our fathers fight for our freedom.
Our life is in the hands of God now,
we trust Him with our life now as it seems.
Run to the top,
and put up the flag.
Wave it up high,
so it can show off it's colors in the sky.
Battles and battles,
between the rage of one another.
Fighting for our country,
and defending our mothers.
I grew up,
looking up to my fathers.
Everything they have went through,
just to sign the document.
Most of the men today,
work a job,
marry a beautiful woman,
have kids of their own.
But my fathers inspired me to do something great,
something that is beyond a wow.
And as the fireworks shoot up into the sky,
on this one and only fourth of july.
As
The
Gun
Points
To
Me...I'm now fighting in this war.
Happy Fourth of July! |
