SunKissed SnowFlakes (Poem), by YourEyesMyWords Subscribe to rss feed for YourEyesMyWords

"A daydream I once had..."

Sunkissed Snowflakes,
fall into my hair.
Your heavy breath is all I feel,
in this fragile, dense air.

The warm comfort of my soul,
as you wrap your arms around me.
The look in your eyes,
and the warmth of your heart,
is all that is needed to set me free.

As time slows down,
the world stops turning.
I look at you,
I'm fine now,
with you there watching.

We walk together,
in a field,
of sunkissed snowflakes.
While children sing carols,
and lovebirds skate on all the frozen lakes.

Christmas is coming,
it is my first Christmas with you.
Openening gifts,
and teasing each other with 5-year-old things,
I wait for the snowstorm to come over our house soon.

We run in the streets,
all of the local padestrians watch us.
Can't keep up with this madness,
can't keep up with this obsession.

You run your fingers,
through my hair.
The sound of your voice,
flows through the air.

And as the sunkissed snowflakes,
fall onto my face.
I still love your eyes,
even though you are a different race...
